The I-Matic SoM Neo

From 2025, the new I-Matic SoM Neo will appear on the market and replace the previous I-Matic Module 1.0. The new module is characterized by significantly increased performance and offers numerous improvements over its predecessor.

The I-Matic SoM Neo is an embedded solution that runs the Codesys programming environment. By integrating it into an embedded system, a cold start time of less than 2 seconds is achieved, which means a considerable reduction in waiting time and increases the efficiency of the system. In addition, the module is operated with the latest Codesys service pack, which brings further optimizations and new functions.

Significant optimizations and enhancements have been made to the CAN interface. By integrating a second CAN-FD interface, third-party devices can now also be controlled via Codesys. In addition, the efficiency of CAN bus utilization has been significantly increased, making the I-Matic SoM Neo ideally suited for more extensive projects.

We have also retained the plug-in compatibility with the previous I-Matic module. This means that existing Codesys projects can be easily migrated to the new Codesys service pack and implemented immediately.

The first prototypes of the I-Matic SoM Neos are already being tested in the field. Series production is planned for early 2025.
